Without Annette marks their ninth year of improv here in Ye Vieux Montréal. Born in 1998 with a dedicated and skilled group of improv artists, they are the in-house improv comedy troupe at The Comedy Nest. Performing in venues ranging from intimate bar settings to packed theatres, the troupe has played charity, school, festival, corporate and private shows across Canada.

In addition to the energetic improv shows that audiences have come to expect, a few of Without Annette's creations have grown to become signature shows. Single ladies and gentlemen become couples during our ever-loving Valentine's Date show. Uno has given a Montreal twist to Chicago-style long-form. April's Fool puts the troupe at the mercy of a director out to play tricks on them throughout the show.

A three-time selection to Montreal's Fringe Festival, Without Annette has staged very different shows each time out. 2004's Murder, You Wrote was an improvised murder mystery where the audience got to select the murderer. 2005 saw an improvised documentary emerge in Improv, Lies & Videotape. Last year's Radio Daze saw Without Annette improvise a radio play in the dark.

Without Annette has performed on CJAD, CKUT and CINQ-FM. Its members have served as judges at the Just For Laughs Improv Tournament and the McGill Improv Summit, and collectively they have performed in 5 countries across 3 continents-- that's a good country-to-continent ratio!
