I have experienced over 100 root beers and have to state - that nothing tastes better that the original (not diet) A&W. Served in a frosty mug - never adding ace cubes, and it is a sweet tasting pleasure to ones senses. Fro shame that the A&W company does not bring back the days of yore where the drive in experience was available. I remember the days of the Decarie and Pare location and still have a mini kids mug as a memory. That plus a hand made, hand cut, hand battered and freshly friend order of inion rings and the day is done - as would be the calorie count... but worth it!

Great article. I like your site, and postings.
We tend to set our run list for short form in a similar format.

The beginning of the show is group games, middle are either high risk games or standard improv games, middle is more "theatrical" pieces and close are more audience based and sure crowd pleasers.

A sample line-up from a recent show:

Group Game to introduce the cast
(Story Die, or Blind Freeze)

Silly game
(No "S", Survivor)

high risk game
(alphabet game, number of words)

high risk game
(party quirks, who am I)

theater game/scene based game
(planes, trains and automobiles - essentially timed scenes with a mode of transportation as a suggestion)

crowd pleaser - highest risk crowd pleaser
(sounds like a song)

crowd pleaser
(new choice)

crowd pleaser
( such as lines from a hat with audience yelling line)

End of show

Ian Roberts (UCB founder) agrees with me that the game in short-form is just one of many games that can be found in long-form: "I think anyone who has skill at long-form can do short-form. It’s a game with one rule that’s predetermined."

That was a good weekend, even though we lost miserably...for our first time out I don't think that Brock was that bad-all I know is if we are invited back we will be back and hopefully get more than 2 point.
Although I have to say all of the teams for AMAZING and it was a pleasure to have worked with them.

There's also the insight of Greek tragedy that to every protagonist corresponds just the right trouble to bring out who he or she really is. Not to say that there's a need for more self-blinding, incest and consumption of one's children in improv.

I gor myself also in trouble since I'm in Ottawa and can't attend Brian's Montreal Improv class on Monday...
I hate that.
