Slavin Away Video

Local improviser, filmmaker, friend and rainy-weather conspirator, Dan Beirne, has created a music video for the song Slavin Away by Fiery Furnaces. The actors are puppets and the video is all of these things: touching, funny, sad, sexy, and pretty damn cool. TSC improvisers Etan, Brent & Jenna participated. Marc helped too, I’m guessing, as bodyguard.

Watch and read about the video at Said the Gramophone.

Sean gets the news of his inclusion in the cast of Without Annette

This comes a few months late, but Without Annette is thrilled to welcome our newest member–Sean!

We’ve known Sean since 2000, coming of age together at McGill Improv. Upon Sean’s return to Montreal earlier this year, we courted him feverishly and tirelessly. The chemistry reappeared almost instantly as if no time had passed at all–what an effortless fit!

Sean is best known to the wider world as being the insightful music critic behind saidthegramophone.com, but we know him best as loyal friend and the person who always brings just the right mix of intelligence, wisdom and silliness to the stage. Let him into your life and you will be better for it!

Welcome, Sean!
