The best improv isn't just about making you laugh. It's about shaking your heart so hard that the laughs spill out like rubies, escaped raccoons, winning dice rolls. For ten years Without Annette have been playing stages across Montreal — gathering rubies, chasing raccoons, betting the farm.

First* Friday of the month
With Uno, Without Annette mix the tender with the loopy, the preposterous and the real: audience suggestions inspire true monologues, stories of childhood adventures, teenage hijinks, lonely twentysomething nights. These stories in turn inspire their longform scenes. The show branches out in every crisscross way — scraps of funny and yay, whimsy and nonsense, the ridiculous and the sublime. It's a humour the Montreal Gazette called "subtle and intelligent", but there are tigers here too, and wizards, and a whole lot of falling down.
